Get To Know The Top 10 Qatar Youtubers

In this digital age, most of us have some sort of social media presence. Whether it’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat or another prominent site just depends on your preference. For a lot of us the day wouldn’t be complete without going online to check our messages, followers, and likes.

One of the most visited sites in the online world is Youtube, which is owned by Google. Youtube can be a great source for entertainment and education. Whenever I am planning a trip to another country one of the first things I do is look up videos about the area so I know what to expect when I get there. I’m a real sucker for those videos that are just car rides around town.

Qatar has some strict usage policies when it comes to the internet, but there are some Qataris that have learned how to thrive on Youtube. Many have a huge following. Let’s take a quick look at the top 10 Qatar Youtubers that I happily came across during my search.

Kareemtime Official

This Youtube channel has over 1.6 million subscribers and over 200 videos. This channel is operated by comedian Rasool Kareem. His goal is to show what life is like out in the Gulf. It’s in Arabic, but I did find a few videos that had English subtitles and they were not only relatable, but actually pretty funny. He has racked up an impressive number of views (almost 700,000,000) since its induction in August of 2012. He’s very active on Youtube, which I’m sure is one of the things that his followers really appreciate.

Wassimos

This channel has been present on the platform since 2016 and has uploaded more than 200 videos already. He has just over 1 million subscribers and no signs of slowing down. In fact, he has even launched another channel called Wassimos TV (an English channel) which already has close to 800,000 subscribers. He primarily focuses on live streaming video games, but does also have some other funny videos on his playlists.

MakeUpByFoofooM

While this channel doesn’t get updated as often as her subscribers would like, this beauty and fashion channel is not to be missed if you’re looking for some great makeup tips. Created in April of 2010 and having over 26 million views and 240,000 subscribers, this may just be the most helpful and popular Middle Eastern Youtube account for makeup and beauty tips.

Malayalam Cooking Channel

I love cooking. I love learning new techniques, interesting kitchen hacks, and trying new flavors. That’s why I loved finding this Youtube account. I already bookmarked it and check back at least once or twice a month. This channel has been around since October of 2015 and has over 12 million views. She has over a hundred videos featuring step-by-step instructions on how to make some of the most delectable Qatari dishes.

I must admit that I’ve tried my hand at a few of the Kerala recipes, but they never turn out exactly like they do in her videos. She’s a great teacher and if you want to learn how to make some authentic and traditional Qatari desserts, smoothies and drinks, and other savory meals, you should probably check out and subscribe to this Youtube channel now.

Monary Idea

No matter what country you live in or how much money you have, we can all appreciate finding new ways to be thrifty. That’s where the Youtube channel, Monary Idea, comes in handy. She teaches ways to convert old clothes, like men’s dress shirts and trousers, into cute dresses and other items. She has lots of other videos involving reusing other household items that we’d typically just throw away, like plastic bottles and broken dishes. Almost all of her videos are less than 11 minutes, and she has over 650 videos, which means you can spend a lot of time on this channel learning how to repurpose items.

If you like the idea of repurposing items, head over to Monary Idea and start learning new life hacks that are sure to save you money. Luckily you don’t have to learn a new language, you can just follow along and be amazed at all the “why didn’t I think of that?!” moments you’re sure to have.

AJ+

If you really want to know about Qatar then it’s important that you find a real Youtube channel that tells it like it is with no sugar-coating. AJ+ is an Al Jazeera subchannel, but a little more off-the-beaten-path. They have some short-story videos and inspirational stories as well. They have over 1 million subscribers and over 600 videos with an ever-growing list.

They offer local news, movie reviews, and even information on historical events. There’s a little something here for everyone. Unfortunately, for those that aren’t fluent in Arabic like me, you will have to be able to get the gist of it from the video and simply enjoy the slides as they go by and the beautiful Arabic language.

Sumar AE

Sumar is an expat in Qatar, originally from Indonesia. She loves trying new food, reviewing said food, and sharing recipes. She created her Youtube account back in March of 2014, has close to 150 videos, and over the past few years has amassed over 270,000 subscribers. Her videos have garnered over 28.5 million views, too. That’s not too shabby!

Besides sharing vlogs about food, she’s taken it a step further and has decided to let people into her personal life a little more. In 2018 she uploaded some videos about her pregnancy and product reviews. She’s got some really useful information for those planning to visit or even move to Qatar.

Raqami TV

This is the perfect Youtube channel for any tech lover. It’s chock full of information and reviews of lots of the most popular devices in the world. This channel was created back in 2015, has over 2,300 videos which have accumulated almost 330 million views. The channel has over 2.5 million subscribers!

A lot of the videos include tech news, unboxing videos, and even some video game reviews. It’s one of the best Qatar Youtube channels to check out whenever you’re on the hunt for a new phone or tablet. What makes this tech channel a little different is that you can tell they want to really help their audience understand what the devices are all about without sacrificing the fun side of it. They are very well-informed when it comes to the individual topics and you can see that they want their viewers to enjoy the experience with them.

Bosalem Power

This Youtube channel has over 1.3 million subscribers currently and continues to grow more each day. He has already over 300 videos on his channel. He’s a very active member of the YT community and usually adds 2-3 videos a week. The channel was created in October of 2018 and since then he’s racked up over 75 million views!

Most of the videos are about the online game called Players Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG). This is a must see for any gamer out there as this channel provides some excellent gameplay, reactions, and information for gamers.

Om Mohammed

Another expat living in Qatar, this Youtuber posts videos that are centered on the Sudanese culture and traditions. The owner also has videos about natural beauty regimens and skin care, Sudanese foods, product hauls, and other random topics. The channel was established in September of 2013 and has almost 250,000 subscribers, over 300 videos, and close to 14 million views. You don’t need to know Arabic to get some useful life tips from her videos!

Youtube is a great platform to share your passion with the world. It is a good outlet to educate, share some good vibes, and maybe most importantly, learn some new things. With all these Qatar Youtubers you’re sure to find any and all information you’re looking for regarding Qatari culture and lifestyle.
